Teri Anderson, L.M.L.P.
Teri Anderson joined the Sterling College Student Life staff in 2007 as a personal counselor for SC students. She received her BS from Millersville University, Millersville PA in 1989, after which she worked in social services. She returned to Millersville to receive her MS in 1993 in Clinical Psychology. Her post graduate school work has involved both inpatient and outpatient mental health services to individuals and families. While her degree is from a clinical psychological background, her heart is in helping students work through their struggles through Biblical based Christian counseling. Marriage to an Sterling College alumnist in 1995 brought her to Kansas where she has spent the last 8 years raising their 4 children who are now in school.
I'm here at SC now because I believe God opened the right opportunity at just the right time. At a time when the focus was on providing more services to students, I was in a position to return to work. I love the opportunity to work with students during a time in their life when so many changes are taking place. Maneuvering those transitions and changes can be crucial for making future choices. I am amazed at how caring the faculty and staff are for the students. I have rarely seen so many willing to go over and above the call to help students. It is inspiring!
